Argie Stanberry, 96, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, in Knoxville, Tenn. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Stanberry Sr.

Survivors include daughter, Shirley Lucas and husband Andrew of Fayetteville; her son, Dr. Ernest Stanberry Jr. and wife Carol of Florida; and daughter, Phyllis Rueff and husband Dr. David Rueff of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, LTC. (U.S. Army retired) Andrew Lucas III of Stafford, Va., Ernest Lucas of Maumelle; Air Force Lt. Col. John C. Lucas of Scott AFB, Ill., Thomas Lucas of Manor, Texas, and Cathy Spalding of Sellersberg, Ind., Sandra Christopher of Dallas, Nancy Keen and Carin Evans of Fayetteville, Stan Stanberry of Dallas, Scott Stanberry of Denver, David Rueff Jr. of Jackson, Miss., Ellen Strunk of Birmingham, Ala., Andrew Rueff of Dallas, Dr. Sarah Rueff of Billings, Mont., Mary Hobeika of Brentwood, Tenn., Kimberly Stanberry of Florida, Lisa Faulkner of Dallas and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today, Oct. 20 with a rosary service at 6 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, online at www.nelsonberna.com.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 21 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Joseph's Church Building Fund, 1722 N. Starr Road, Fayetteville, 72701.
