Obituary
O’KEAN — Roger Dale Ball, 67, died Friday at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He had lived in Tennessee prior to moving here six years ago and was an alderman for the town of O’Kean. He was a forklift salesman and of the Baptist belief.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sadie Lairson Ball.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette Ball; daughters, Stacy Patrick of Walnut Ridge and Khristina Arnold of Lake Wales, Fla.; sister, Blanche Deatherage of Greenfield, Mo.; brothers, David Ball, Walter Lee Ball, Ray Ball and Alton Ball, all of O’Kean, Joe Ball of Forney, Texas, and V.J. Ball of Paragould; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the O’Kean Free Will Baptist Church with Rick Hart and Jeral Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Sharum Cemetery in O’Kean under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Daniel Ball, Lee Ball, Vance Ball, Randall Deatherage, Jerry Deatherage and Billy Deatherage.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Deatherage, Dennis Ball, Matthew Sprague, Eddie Hill, John Flanney, Johnny Ball, Shane Ball and Tom Chambliss.
