Norman Lee Barnett, 63, of Shreveport, LA, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Born on February 10, 1944, in Crossett to Leroy and Sybil Ware Barnett, he was employed by Georgia Pacific for 11 years and was a project manager and construction superintendent at International Paper for 28 years. He was a member of Ellerbe Road Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Jackson Barnett of Shreveport, LA; one son, Donald Gene Barnett and wife Melisa of Honolulu, HI; one daughter, Donna Orene Fuller and husband Russell of Crossett; one step-daughter, Carla Corkern Neames and husband Caleb; two brothers, Leland and wife Bettye Barnett of Crossett and Mike and wife Rosia Barnett of Searcy; and five grandchildren, Ashley Fuller, Reese Fuller, Jaci Barnett, Chandler Neames, and Cosmo Neames.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 3, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Revs. Dennis Sims and Royce Christmas officiating. Pallbearers were Allen Jackson, Don Woods, Lee Barnett, Michael Barnett, James D. White, Preston Wren, Andy Westerman, and Sam Booker. Honorary pallbearers were Riley Stanfield, Robert Lane, Bill Garner and Bruce Westerman. Burial followed services at the Unity Cemetery. www. jonesservice.com
