His parents were Richard(1803-VA) and Price(1803-TN). He is with them in 1850. By 1860 he is married to Elizabeth W. They have one daughter and 4 from a previous marriage of Elizabeth. They had 2 girls with them in 1880. In 1900 James is widowed and living with a daughter, Nettie.
