Funeral services for Lynn Parnell of Lanchaster, KS, will be at 2PM today at Galatia Assembly of God Church with Jackie Langston officiating. Mr. Parnell, 52, a former Norfork resident, died at his Lancaster residence Monday.
Burial will be in Galatia Cemetery with Lee Lynn Schaufler, Jack Whitfield, Jimmie Roy Beard, Dean Rouse, Eudell Southard and Roe Whitfield serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife, Leda Parnell at home; one son, Larry Lynn Parnell of Nortonville, KS; three daughters, Joann Whampler of Oskeloosa, KS, Carolyn Epelding of Nortonville, KS and Shellie Parnell of the home; four brothers, Ralph Parnell and Carl Parnell, both of Norfork, Tom Parnell of Calico Rock and Gene Parnell of Effingham, KS; three sisters Lena Chapman of Norfork and Virgie Cox and Hazel Cox both of Mt. Home; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Lucy Belle Dickerson Parnell.
Mr. Parnell was born at Hopewell Sep 10, 1930. He moved to Kansas from Norfork in May, 1959. Mr. Parnell worked in the heat treating department of Rockwell. He married Leda Foster Aug 30, 1951, at Yellville.
Arrangements were by Roller Funeral Home.
