VAN ANTWERP, Mrs. Frank and infant - The death of Mrs. Frank Van Antwerp which occurred on last Thursday night at eleven o'clock at the family residence in this city, had an added element of sadness attached to it. Comparatively a "stranger in a strange land," albeit cared for by husband and loving relatives and friendly neighbors, yet still there was lacking that sense of home that brings to the suffering ones a feeling of comfort and consolation nothing else can bestow. Added to this was the silent form of a newly born infant lying beside its mother in the single grave. Left behind are a lonely husband and two motherless little ones to bear the shock of loss of wife and mother so suddenly taken from their loving embraces. And she so young, just in the summer time of life when all the joys and pleasures of life are so fully enjoyed. Just 28 short years numbered the span of life allotted to her. But a merciful God, who doeth all things well, knows why she was taken away and it must suffice us. And unto Him, who alone can comfort the sorrowing ones, we commend this family. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church on Saturday at 2 o'clock p.m. after which the mother and babe were laid to rest in the city cemetery. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to these sorrowing ones, in which The Democrat joins.
