Cyril Aloys Welter, age 83, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009. He was born November 14, 1925, in Morrilton, Arkansas, a son of Alex Welter, Sr. and Regina Hamling Welter. He was retired after 28 years as an Arkansas State Auditor, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the widower of Lorene Fought Welter.
Survivors include three sons, Richard, Royce, and Ronnie Welter all of Morrilton; one sister, Alexia Wray of Jackson, Mississippi; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Ralph Welter.
Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Charles Thessing officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at the funeral home.
