Daughter of Noah H and Alpha Mae Allison Jones
Ernestine Tumbleson, 96, of Clarksville, died April 9, 2013. She was born December 29, 1916, in Hagarville, Arkansas, to the late Noah and Alpha (Allison) Jones. She was a member of the Clarksville Eastern Star Chapter 172, a member and elder at First Presbyterian Church and retired from Herbst Shoe Co. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Tumbleson; a sister, Lucille Steele; and two brothers, Wayne G. Jones and Noel Jones.
Mrs. Tumbleson is survived by a daughter, Barbara Groskopf and husband, Charles, of Hartman; a son, Denton Tumbleson and wife, Jane, of Clarksville; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 15, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Ron Jones and Rev. Marci Ward officiating. Private interment will be in Minnow Creek Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Lone Pine Rook Consortium.
