Life-Long Resident Of County Dies
Mrs Maudie Blankenship passed away at her home at Band Mill April 3, 1958 at the age of 72 years. She was born in Izard County December 7, 1885. She became a member of the Baptist Church in her early life. She is survived by a daughter, Lillian Watters of the home, a grandson, Roland Watters and wife Donna, of Wichita, Kansas and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. at the Baptist Church in Melbourne, with Rev. Hugh Cooper officiating. Burial was made in the Knob Creek Cemetery under direction of the Hall Funeral Home.
