Funeral services for Mrs. Emily McCarty Mitchell, 77, were held Saturday, June 11, at Fairview with Rev. Duncan officiating. She died June 9, at her residence in the south part of the county.
Mrs. Mitchell was born September, 30, 1871. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Walter Hurst and Elmer Cobb of Mt. Home; and one daughter, Bertha Perry of Mt. Home. A brother, Wilk McCarty, lives in Wetumpka, OK; one sister is also living. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The Roller-Barber Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
