Visitation set for Sharon Sue Parnell

Visitation for Sharon Sue Parnell of Greenwood, Miss., will be from noon until 9 p.m. Saturday, when the family will receive friends at Roller Funeral Home. Mrs. Parnell, 42, formerly of Mountain Home, died Wednesday (Jan. 29) after undergoing heart surgery at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roy Fowler officiating.

Survivors include her husband C. Max Parnell, at home; one son, Jarred Parnell of Greenwood; her mother Reba Hodges McCracken of Mountain Home; and one sister, Janice Cockrum of Mountain Home. She was preceded in death by her father Lexie McCracken.

Mrs. Parnell was a native of this area. She was born Sept. 11, 1943 at Gainesville, Mo., and grew up at Mountain Home. Mrs. Parnell was a 1961 graduate of Mountain Home High School. She and her husband were married Dec. 2, 1967 at Mabelvale. Mrs. Parnell was a member of the Greenwood First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mountain Home First Baptist Church, the First Assembly of God Church or to a favorite charity.
