BIXLER, I.M. - I.M. Bixler, a former Rogers citizen, died Monday at Ivanhoe, Okla. at the home of his son, Q.M. Bixler, at the age of 86 years and 6 months. The remains were brought to Rogers for interment, arriving here yesterday morning on the Cannon Ball. No services were held here but the friends gathered at the home of E.W. Homan at two o'clock to accompany the body to its last resting place in the family lot in the Rogers cemetery. The body was accompanied to Rogers by the four children: Q.M. and George Bixler of Ivanhoe, Okla. and Mrs. Mitchel Smith and Mrs. Murray Campbell, both of Springfield, Mo. Mr. Bixler came to Rogers about the time the town was platted and lived here until some fourteen or fifteen years ago. He built the house now occupied by Erwin C. Funk and he will be well remembered by our older citizens.
