CLINTON - Paul David Calkin, 13, of Clinton, died Monday from injuries
suffered in a vehicle accident. He was a seventh grade student at Clinton
School, where he was a member of the junior high basketball team. He was a
member of the Boy Scout Troop No. 152. and attended Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, David and Denise Calkin of
Clinton; one brother, Thomas Calkin of Clinton; three stepbrothers, Timothy
Deatherage, Thomas Deatherage and Travis Deatherage, all of Clinton; and his
grandparents, Paul and Helen Calkin of Jonesboro.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at Friendship Baptist Church in
Clinton under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pierce Cemetery in Jonesboro
with Larry Loggins officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tim Carter, Paul Rice, Brian Tatum, David Smith, Paul
Rhoda and Jerry Jordan.
Honorary pallbearers will include members of Boy Scout Troop No. 152 and
members of the Clinton junior high basketball team.
