Mrs. Alma Frances Matlock Nail, longtime resident of Cotton Plant, Arkansas, died Thursday, June 4, 2009. She was 95 years of age. Visitation was from 1-2 Sunday, June 7th, with funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Cotton Plant Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Duncan, officiating. Interment was at the Cotton Plant Cemetery with Thompson-Wilson Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Nail was born in Cotton Plant, Arkansas on April 2, 1914 to James W. and Sallie Ann Matlock. She was married on October 4, 1929 to Floyd F. Nail who preceded her in death. Mrs. Nail was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and as far down as great-great-great grandmother as well as a terrific cook, and homemaker. Her family was of the utmost importance to her as was her God. She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church. Survivors include six sons: Jerry Nail and wife Beverly of Brinkley, Larry nail of Wooster, Billy Don Nail and wife Elizabeth of Cotton Plant, Hollis Nail and wife Margaret of Howell, Leon Nail and wife Jessie of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Jimmy Doyne Nail and his wife Margaret of Conway, one brother; Leslie Matlock and his wife Dorothy of Augusta, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd, one daughter, Betty Ann and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Jason Nail, Kevin Nail, Mike Nail and Steve Comeaux. The family has requested memorials be sent to the Cotton Plant First Baptist, Cotton Plant, Arkansas 72036.

1-2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the Cotton PLlant Firt Baptist Church, Cotton Plant, AR
