Carroll Dee Sims was born on January 17, 1961, in Houston, Texas, to the late Bonnie Dee and Mildred (McCarley) Sims.

He died on October 5, 2007, in Pineville, North Carolina, at the age of 46.

He was a Mill Wright Supervisor and of the Baptist Faith.

Carroll was survived by his wife, Cindy (Melton) Sims; two daughters, Barbara DeVoe and husband Chris of Earle, Arkansas and Samantha Sims of Marion, Arkansas; three sons, Scott Wood of Mulberry, Arkansas, Carroll Duane Sims and wife Betsey of Sentobia, Mississippi, and Jeremy Wood and wife Ashley of Clarksville, Arkansas; three sisters, Gayle Berry and husband Bob of Earle, Arkansas, Donna Sue Aldridge and husband Wayne of Marion, Arkansas, Debbie Staggs and husband Tommy of Earle, Arkansas; mother and father-in law, Carl and Mary Melton of Lamar, Arkansas; and six grandchildren, Madison, Bailey, Kyler, Dally, Hannah, and Carson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Dee and Mildred (McCarley) Sims.

Graveside servicewere held at the Minnow Creek Cemetery in Lamar, under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville (479) 754-2201.

Casket Bearers were: Ted Melton, Jr., Travis Caldwell, Brent Caldwell, Clint Vinson, Heth Melton, Bobby Berry, & Aaron England.

Honorary Casket Bearers were: Curt Schmacher, Tyler Melton, Chad Melton, Larry (Digger) Sanders, Caleb Melton, Chris Haulmark, Cory Haulmark, & Eric Haulmark.
