Floyd L Hall was born 11 July 1922 in Wynne, Arkansas, the son of William Earl and Callie Rose Burton Hall. He had one brother, Dock "Sonny". Before entering the military service, he worked on a farm.
He was inducted into the Army 6 October 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas. His military assignment was Cook 060 and he qualified as a Rifle Marksman. Floyd was discharged 20 November at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas. He participated in battles at Bismark - Archipelago and the Southern Philippines -Luzon. He was awarded the Asia Pacific Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Service Stars, the World War II Victory Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the Philippines Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star.
Floyd was the father of two sons, Michael Floyd and Wesley A1an, and two daughters, Barbara Gail and Janice Fay. He was the owner and operator of Hall's Snack Bar in Wynne from 1958- 1967 and from 1967- 1987, he operated Floyd's Texaco Station.
Floyd L. Hall died 1 Apri12001 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was buried in Cogbill Cemetery, Wynne, Arkansas
