Charles Clarence Wardlaw, life long resident of the area, died Friday June 2 at Bates Memorial Hospital in Bentonville. He was 85 years old.

Born May 18, 1887, in Pea Ridge, Mr. Wardlaw lived at the time of his death on Rt. 1, Pea Ridge in McDonald County. He was a member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Wardlaw; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Van Every, Rogers; two sons, Jack Wardlaw, Rt. 1 Washburn, and Ron Wardlaw, Rt. l Pea Ridge; one brother, Jessie Wardlaw, Rt. 1 Pea Ridge; one sister, Mrs. Ethel McCool, Pea Ridge, and seven grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Sisco Funeral Home Chapel, Pea Ridge. The Rev. Joe Gibbons officiated. Burial was in Wardlaw Cemetery at Pea Ridge.

Mary Ellen Wardlaw, 79, Route 1, Pea Ridge, died Saturday at Rogers Memorial Hospital. She was born in McDonald County, Mo., and lived in that area all of her life.

She was a member of the Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth VanEvery, Rogers; two sons Jack Wardlaw, Washburn, Mo., and Ron Wardlaw, Pea Ridge; one brother, Clint McCool, Pineville, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge with the Rev. Bud Buzzard and the Rev. Monti Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in the Wardlaw Cemetery on Sugar Creek.
