Obituary for Alfred Rollen Crotts:

Alfred Rollen Crotts, 75, son of the late R.O. "Ruffin" and Bertha Sexton Crotts, was born on April 7, 1929, in Elizabeth, Ark. He died Sept. 15, 2004, in Searcy, Ark. During his working years, he worked at Metal Finishing Company in Wichita, Kan. He retired after 40 years of employment.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law -- Gary and Vivian Crotts of Franklin, and Larry Crotts of Joshua, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law -- Freida and Roger Duren of Sherwood, Ark., and Penny and Bob Ramsey of Melbourne; a sister, Alma Stephens of Brockwell; a brother, Thurman Crotts of Melbourne; 14 grandchildren -- Ramona Miller, Jessica Shaw, Marissa and Jacquelyn Duren, Christopher, Adam, Crystal, Matthew and Katrina Crotts, Devin Ramsey, and Justin, Felecia, Haley and Kaci Crotts; and five great-grandchildren -- Devin Shaw, Cole Miller, Natalie Shaw, Breauna Crotts and Nathan Duren.

A graveside service was Sept. 19 at Elizabeth Cemetery with Don Pfalser officiating. Burial was at Elizabeth Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
