Valonia Wallace, 71, of Hamburg Thursday, November 29, 2007, at her residence. A native of Bonita, LA, and a Hamburg resident for the past 50 years, she was a retired cook for Beverly Health Care of Hamburg and was a member of the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance.

Survivors are her husband of 16 years, Allen Wallace; three sons, Andrew and Harris "Paper" Martin and wife Felicia of Hamburg and Ronnie Martin of Jacksonville; five daughters, Katherine Tucker and husband Chris, Sandra Kay Martin, Melissa Stanley and Shirley Martin, all of Hamburg, and Bonita Martin of Little Rock; three stepbrothers, Jessie Levingston of Bastrop, LA, L. J. Levingston of Strong and Sherman Levingston of Detroit, MI; two sisters, Pastor Mary Arnold and Shirley Dabbs of Hamburg; two stepsisters, Geneva DeJohnnett and Rose Lee Orr, both of Bastrop; 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis Gene Martin; her parents, Rev. Willie W. and Geneva Ware Williams; one brother, Scott Williams; two stepsisters, Willie Mae Lowrey and Lola Bea Jones; three grandsons and a great-grandson.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2, in the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance with Evangelist Mona Arnold McBride officiating. Pallbearers were Ed Brown, Ray Watson, Johnny Guy, John Ware, Lee Troy Ware and Wayne Pugh.

Burial followed services at the Johnson Memorial Cemetery with arrangements by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
