Benton County Democrat
Friday, August 22, 1890
HUTCHESON, Jesse E. - Died at his residence, this city, August 15, 1890 of inflammation of the stomach and bowels, Jesse E. Hutcheson, aged 27 years and 11 months. Jesse had since boyhood been a respected and well-liked citizen of this place. He was born in Barry Co., Mo. He had been a faithful member of the Baptist church for over three years. Jesse was a member of the fire company and his burial was conducted by the members of his company, assisted by a large delegation from the Rogers department. It was indeed a sorrowful duty for the firemen to perform on their return from the joy and glories of a tournament. The deceased leaves a good and true wife and a sweet baby to mourn after him. We extend our sincere sympathy to the bereaved. The funeral sermon was preached at the Baptist church Saturday morning by the pastor, G.S. Kennard.
