James Lee Stanley, 48, of Hamburg died Thursday, December 16, 1999, at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS. A native of Marianna and a Baptist, he was preceded in death by his parents, Levell and Mabel Lee Godfrey Stanley. Survivors include his wife, Susie Mae Stanley; a son, Bartoski "Bart" Stanley of Hot Springs; two daughters, Brenda Taylor of Hamburg and Cynthia Stanley of Bastrop, LA; twelve brothers, Levell, Jr., Billy, Johnny, Glenn, Robert, Lawrence, and Elijah Stanley of Hamburg, Willie Stanley of Crossett, Matt and Westley Stanley of Wilmot, Willie D. Stanley of Monticello and Percy Stanley of Los Angeles, CA; four sisters, Jackie Stanley Cason, Christeen Page and Vivian Davidson of Hamburg and Shirley Ann Johnson of Montrose; and a special friend, Joyce Singleton of Wilmot. Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 19, in the Bethlehem Church of Christ Holiness with Eld. Robert Adams, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers were Y. T. Singleton, Larry Tippitt, J. W. Brown, Jr., Cleveland Moseby, George Howard, Jr., and Terry Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Moore, Jr., W. C. Parker, William Scates, Robert Arnold, Claude Riley, Larry Page, Henry L. Dunn and Robert Cox, Jr. Burial followed services at the Johnson Memorial Cemetery, directed by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
