Dorothy Mae Sparks Best, 46, Bentonville, died suddenly today at Bates Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 12, 1928, in Newton County, Ark., she spent most of her life in Washington and Benton Counties, coming to Bentonville in 1961 to make her home. She was a federal meat inspector with the U.S.D.A.-A.P.H.I.S. for Benton County. She was employed by the Arkansas Poultry Co-op for several years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Lincoln.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Best, of the home; her father, Bert Sparks, Lincoln; a sister, Mrs. Evon Daniels, Cane Hill; and two brothers, Gene Sparks, Kansas City, Kan., and Gerald Sparks, Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Callison-McKinney Funeral Chapel in Bentonville with the Rev. Coy Page officiating. A second service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Lincoln. Burial will be in the Dutch Mills Cemetery near Lincoln.
