Walter Larry Hubbard, 70, of Lake Village died Sunday, February 17, 2008, at the Greenwood Specialty Hospital in Greenwood, MS. A native of Hamburg and a Lake Village resident for the past seven years, he was a retired baker and a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Walter Hubbard, Jr., of Little Rock and Eric Hubbard of Los Angeles, CA; his mother, Annie Mae Cox Hubbard of Lake Village; two brothers, Charlie and wife Mary Hubbard of Atlanta, GA, and Freddie and wife Ruby Hubbard of Crossett; three sisters, Florence Johnson of Atlanta, Eva "Honey Bee" and husband Willie Williams and Claudette and husband Theodis Tucker of Lake Village and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas "Jack" Hubbard, and four brothers, Thomas, Jr, Robert, Frank and Danny Lee Hubbard.
Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 23, in the Cromwell Funeral Home chapel with Supt. Jasper Mays officiating. Nephews were pallbearers. Burial followed services at the Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
