Mamie Lee Dupree, 93, of Hamburg died Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. A native of Oxford, MS, and a resident of Hamburg for the past 63 years, she was a homemaker, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Jerry Don and wife Gustava Baker of Kansas City, MO; one step-son, Frank Marshall Dupree of Lake Village; two daughters, Novella Dunum of Hamburg and Valco Dupree & husband Billy Peter, of Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren, Judy Smith, Zeolana Peters & Quiera Peters; one great-grandchild, Patrick Foreman; and six great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny & Ora Lee Brown Johnson.

Funeral services were planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Willie R. Taylor officiating. Pallbearers were to be Ephraim Johnson, Johnny Dupree, Morris Richardson, Alfred Robinson, Cornelius Girtman, Charles Dunn, Lawrence Booker and Clarence Haynes. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons & trustees of Mt. Zion. Burial was to follow at Johnson Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. www.cromwellfuneralhome.net.
