Roderick "Red" Cook, 33, of Fayetteville, formerly of Hamburg, died Thursday, October 14, 2004, at Washington Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was a native of Hamburg and had lived in Fayetteville for the past 14 years. He was an employee of In Tents and was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ Holiness.
Survivors include his mother, Mattie Cook Tucker of Hamburg; three brothers, Anthony Tucker and wife Wanda of Memphis, TN, Myron Tucker of Hamburg and Jackie Cook of Milwaukee, WI; and one sister, Janice Tucker of New Orleans, LA. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Annie Cook; and his father, Elder Charles Tucker.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 21, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Alvin Partman officiating. Burial was at Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.Pallbearers were Allen Huggins, Lee Nimmer, Marvin Walter, Ralph Walter, Michael Harris and Morris Richardson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Hamburg High School Class of 1989.
