Ernestine Arrington

Ernestine Arrington, 74, of Hamburg died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Pinewood Health & Rehabilitation. She was a life-long resident of Hamburg, a retired CNA, a Baptist and enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower garden, fishing, and learning how to operate computers.

She is survived by one son, Johnny Ray Bennett of Hamburg, two step-sons, Ricky Arrington and wife Debra of Little Rock and Curtis Arrington of Dallas, TX; three daughters, Florine Jasper of Hamburg, Teresa Brown, husband Charles of Gary, IN, and Karen Arrington of Pine Bluff; two step-daughters, Nadine Parker of Hamburg and Ruby Edward-Brown of Lake Village; one sister, Helen Tucker of Crossett; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Arrington; her parents, Luchen and Mary Williams Taylor; and her adopted parents who raised her, Sam and Fannie Bennett.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at Cromwell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. James Green officiating. Pallbearers were Tyrone Bennett, Ray Charles Tucker, Curtis Tolliver, Jr., Arnold Parks, Marvin Hart, and Ricky Arrington. Burial was in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
