Alberta L. Loyd, 78, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died November 18, 2012. She was born in Fort Smith the daughter of Albert and Mary (Bratten) Williams. She was a member of Living Word Tabernacle in Booneville and a retiree of Trade Winds Motel in Fort Smith. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mason Childers; one brother, Alfred Williams; and one granddaughter.
Survivors are one daughter, Sue Lowe and husband Ron of Fort Smith; four sons, Robert Jones and wife Melissa of Booneville, Jack Childers and wife Vivian of Sugar Loaf; Larry Childers and wife Sharon of Van Buren, Bill Jones, Jr. and wife Wanda of Florida; two sisters, Anita Carter & husband Jerry of Alma, and Evelyn Ray of Alma; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Linda Childers; nieces, nephews and close family friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Dora Cemetery in Dora, Oklahoma under the direction of Booneville Funeral Service.
