Polly the daughter of Childres Hamilton Clements and Vera Calvin (Knight) Clements. Smokey the son of Alex and Helen (Bolag) Smakowski.

JONESBORO — Raymond A. Smakowski “Smokey,” 76, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at his home.
He was born in East St. Louis, Ill., and had lived in Jonesboro since 1987.
He was of the Catholic belief and a retired factory worker for Becks Vanilla Co. in St. Louis. He was also a U.S. Army Korea veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Helen Bolag Smakowski, and one son, Raymond Smakowski.
Survivors include his daughters, Paulette Newberry and husband David, and Paula Hammons, all of Jonesboro, and Kim Barton and husband Jerry of Trumann; two grandchildren, Donna Timmons and Amber Hogard; and two great-grandchildren, Harleigh Sanders and Jackson Hogard.
All services will be private. There will be no visitation.
Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge.
