Glen Vanscoy, 82, 607 Buford St., Springdale, died Feb. 2 at Leisure Lodge in Rogers. Born Aug. 5, 1895, in West Virginia, he was the son of Daniel Allen and Tracey Ann Fansler Vanscoy and the widower of Mary Letitia Downum Vanscoy. He was a member of Spring Creek Missionary Church, an Army veteran of World War, a member of the American Legion and a retired farmer.

Survivors include three sons, Alvin L. Vanscoy and Dennis H. Vanscoy of Jinks, Okla., and David Ray Vanscoy of Tulsa, Okla.; four daughters, Mrs. Glen (Nadine) Townzen of Rogers, Mrs. John (Georgia) Ness of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Ernest (Anna Marie) Walden of West Memphis and Mrs. Don (Janice) Breshears of Springdale; one brother, Oscar Vanscoy of Tulsa, Okla., 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Sisco Chapel.

Services for Glen Vanscoy, 82, 607 Buford St., Springdale, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday in Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Aaron and the Rev. J.B. Manning officiating. Burial was in Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.

Pallbearers were Robert Sisemore, Gregory Smith, Doss Sharp, Joe Brown, Roy Grimsley and Warren Reed. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Boss, Pete Williamson, Joe Robinson and Loy Aaron.
