Joyce Ann Atkinson, 66, of Walnut Ridge, died May 18, 2013, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab.
B o r n Dec. 19, 1946, in Jonesboro, she had been a quality control operator at Skil and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Haskell Farley; and her grandparents, William and Lucy Orr and Paul and Nannie Farley.
Survivors include her husband, Donald F. Atkinson, whom she married Dec. 25, 1986; a son, Donald Atkinson II and wife Jennifer, Black Rock; a daughter, Michele Atkinson, Dixon, Ill.; her mother, Louise Orr Farley, Hoxie; two sisters, Brinda Monroe, Walnut Ridge, and Shirley Story, Hoxie; five grandchildren, Matthew Clutter, Katelyn Atkinson, Elizabeth Spencer, Dylan Spencer and Madalyn Atkinson; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral was Wednesday, May 22, at 11:30 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Walnut Ridge with Bro. Dale Hughart officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Donald Atkinson II, Timothy Green, Anthony Monroe, Ricky Monroe, Bub Whitaker, David Hampton, Joey Rice and Elijah Cadle.
