FRANCES "FANNIE" DAVIS OWENS born February 9, 1823 in Middle Tennessee; died July 12, 1910 Owens Chapel, Polk Co., AR. She married William Jackson Owens Sept. 13, 1843 in Van Buren Co., AR. They had 8 children with at least 5 being deaf. They had moved to Polk Co., AR, and when the Civil War broke out they fled towards Burnet Co., TX, in 1862. William died along the way. Frances' father was Jesse Davis b. ca 1790 NC. Unsure of her mother's name. Jesse Davis married Cathrine Price Potts Davis Nov. 6, 1845 White Co., TN.
