Rebecca Irene (Copeland) Rogers departed this world on September 5, 2011 at the age of 48 years and 7 months at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas
Becky was born on February 12, 1963 to Aubrey and Virginia Copeland in Mountain View, Arkansas.
She was a retired school teacher from Coloma, Michigan. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband Eddie Rogers; two sons Jason Sanchez of Mtn. view and Brian Rogers of St. Joe, MI; her father Aubrey Copeland of Mtn. View; two sisters Robyn Vannatter and husband Troy of Fifty-Six, AR and Regina Corter and husband Dean of Pleasant Grove, AR; four nieces Ashley Corter, Deanna Corter, Jessica Copeland, Amanda (Corter) Mitchell and one nephew Eric Hewitt; one granddaughter Kerra Marie Copland (Hall) and numerous aunts,, uncles, nieces and nephews and family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Copeland and one sister Rhonda Kay Copeland and her grandparents Ida and Percy Copeland and Gladys and Marion Franch.
Becky was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother. She was loved by every one that knew her. She enjoyed gardening and singing. She had a great passion for fishing which she could do for hours. She enjoyed being a teacher. She loved every child that came through her classroom. She was a great cook. She was a great big sister to both Regina and Robyn. We love you and will miss you greatly.
God will keep you safe now and say hi to mom for us.
Visitation is 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View.
Funeral service is 2 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Mountain View General Baptist Church with interment in Flatwoods Cemetery, Mountain View.
Pallbearers are Eric Hewitt, Troy Vanatter, Dean Corter, Norman Copeland, Junior Golden, Larry Grosser, Mark Williamson and Michael Golden. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Sanchez, Brian Rogers, Scotty Branscum, Eric Miller and Tommy Franch.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home, Mtn. View is in charge of the arrangements.
