Hughie Everette Chandler, 85, of Mountain View, AR (formerly of Okolona, MS) passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012. He was born on March 5, 1927 in Webster County, MS.
He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Okolona for many years and a retired US Postal Worker. He was an avid self-taught musician and enjoyed his final years making music on the square in Mountain View.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Cox Chandler, a step-son, Dewey Cox (Sandra) of West Point, MS, a daughter Kay Chandler Bratton (Randy) of Rome, GA, son, Don Chandler (Katie) of New Albany, MS. Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 A.M., Thursday, January 3, at Roller-Coffman. Services to follow at 11. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2 P.M. at First Baptist Church, Okolona, MS.
