Earla Jane Hopper, 61, of Dermott, AR passed away Sunday August 19, 2012 in Little Rock, AR.
She was a member of South McGehee Baptist Church and a former member of Bellaire Baptist Church for many years. She worked for Potlatch, now Clearwater for twenty years as plant nurse. Mrs. Hopper is an accomplished pianist and choir director. She also loved to work in her yard.
Mrs. Hopper was born to the late Earl and Virginia Douglas Teague in Dermott on February 6, 1951. She is also preceded in death by a brother Verlyn Teague.
She is survived by her husband Charlie Hopper of Dermott AR, a son Earl Anthony “Tony” Hopper of Dermott AR, a daughter Charla Hopper of Dermott AR, two nephews Christopher Teague of El Dorado AR and Barry Teague of West Monroe, LA.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee with Dr. Eddie Simpson and Rev. Joe Burt officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Burial will follow at Dermott Cemetery. Arrangements by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee, AR.
