DERMOTT, Ark. — Graveside services for Winnie T. Berryhill, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 7, in Dermott City Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held in Lake Charles at a later date. Arrangements are by Hixson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Berryhill died Friday, May 4, 2001, in her residence.

A native of Dermott, she was a resident of Lake Charles. She was a graduate of the University of Mississippi. She taught school for 44 years in Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Enterprise Club. She was member of First Presbyterian Church of Lake Charles, where she was an elder and a member of First Presbyterian Women.

Survivors include her husband, Herman L. Berryhill of Lake Charles; one son, David R. Berryhill of Lake Charles; and four grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Boy's Village, the family said.

Funeral services for Herman LeRoy Berryhill, 95, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in First Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. Robert Malsbury will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Dermott City Cemetery in Dermott, Ark., under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday in the funeral home and from 1 p.m. in the church.

Mr. Berryhill died at 5:05 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in Lake Charles.

A native of Learned, Miss., he had lived in Lake Charles since 1957. He was a 1935 graduate of the University of Mississippi and had earned his master's degree plus 60 additional hours. He was named to the Hines Junior College Hall of Fame for his track achievements in Mississippi. He was the first guidance counselor at the new LaGrange High School. He was a former math and chemistry teacher, and was a retired guidance counselor. He was a chemist in the military arsenal in Memphis. He worked for Boy's Village for many years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one son, David Berryhill of Lake Charles; four sisters, Eyvonne, Ethel, Nettie and Lucille; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Boy's Village or the University of Mississippi athletic department, the family said.
