Nancy Wilma Shirley, 82, of Vilonia, shed the bonds of this earthly life, on Sunday, June 2, 2013, so she could be with her Savior and receive a glorified body. Born in Holland, Arkansas on July 6, 1930, she was a daughter to Clarence “Bill” and Clara (Smith) Maynard. Mrs. Shirley will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Nancy was a member of Liberty Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Wise, and Olin Shirley; her parents; a brother Billy Maynard; two sisters, Mary Ann Shirley and Elsie Lea Dial and one granddaughter, Carol Ann Owen.
Those that remain to cherish her memory, are her daughters: Nancy Swinea (Billy) and Dianne McIntire (Bill) both of Vilonia; sons, Donald Wise of Conway, Bryon Wise and Edward Shirley (Kristine) both of Vilonia; a sister Dora Bernice Niemeyer of Fall City, WA, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Nancy’s family sends special thanks to all the Arkansas Hospice staff for their wonderful care.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, on Wednesday June 5th, at Liberty Church of the Nazarene with Roger Evatt and Kevin Rector officiating. Interment will follow at Vilonia Cemetery with Scottie Coble, Scott Owen, Hunter Owen, Josh Wise, Andy Wise and Jeff Ruple serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 4th at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
