He was 92 years old and was preceded in death by his wife, Flora E Freeman.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Norma Payne and Barbara Pearson, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 2 sons, Cecil Freeman and J.L. Freeman, both of Chester; a brother, Junior Freeman of Cedarville; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Flora Freeman, 85, of the Cove City Community died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at her home. She was a homemaker and member of Shamrock Community Church. She was a lifelong resident of Crawford County.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Shamrock Community Church with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, George L. Freeman; two daughters, Norma Payne and Barbara Pearson, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sons, Cecil Freeman and J.L. Freeman, both of Cove City; two sisters, Katy Watson of Tacoma, Wash. and Delene Pannel of Texas; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rick, Chris, Benjamin, Neal and Perry Freeman, Nicholas Volz II, David Payne and Nicholas Volz.
