Harold E. Beck, age 68, of Morrilton, died Saturday, January 31, 2009. He was born June 8, 1940 in the Catholic Point Community, a son of the late Alphonse and Angeline DeSalvo Beck. He was retired from the Arkansas National Guard, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5290.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Ehemann Beck of Morrilton; six children, Eddie Beck and wife, Sharon of Morrilton, Michelle Grandstaff and husband, Richy of Greenwood, Arkansas, Willie Beck and wife, Mary of Morrilton, Ann Caudle and husband, Jimmie of Greenwood, Arkansas, Paula Beck of Pleasanton, California, and Mark Beck and wife, Shelly of Russellville; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernadine McCabe of Perryville and Carolyn Goff of Morrilton.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Charles Thessing and Father Dennis Soerries officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. A Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund, 506 East Broadway, Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.
