Dayton Autry, 65, of Van Buren died Saturday, December 2, 1989 in a Fort Smith hospital.

He had retired as the first director of the Van Buren Boys Club, was a member of the 41st Infantry in the Army, was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was a member of First Baptist Church, the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.

He was survived by his wife Peggy; his son, Gary of Van Buren; his sister, Pauline Ernest of El Paso, Texas; his brother, L.D. of Cherry Valley, California; and two granddaughters.
