Richard Lee Carman, age 76, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. He was born July 17, 1934 in Waverly, Ohio.
He was the widower of Patsy Sue Pavatt Carman and a retired Army Veteran after 24 years of service.
He was of the Church of Christ Faith, worked at the Conway County Sheriff's Office for seven years and retired from the Morrilton Police Department after 11 years.
Survivors include son, Richard Ison Carman and wife Terri of Little Rock; brother, Don Carman and wife Sue of Hilliard, Ohio; granddaughters of whom he raised, Jennifer Lee Carroll and husband Eric of Springfield, Christy Lynn Wendt and husband David of Springfield; other granddaughters, Alyssa Carman, Kaitlyn Carman, and Emma Bea Carman all of Little Rock; three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Alanah Carroll of Springfield and Chloe Wendt of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Cletus Kent; mother, Thelma Hayes Carman; and daughter Cindy Lucille Foshee.
