BLACK OAK — Ben Jamerson, 76, of the Black Oak community died Aug. 7, 2000, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born June 4, 1924, at Black Oak to Thomas and Lillie Ellen Hutchins Jamerson. He was a retired employee of the Fayetteville Water Department and was a cattle farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and an elder and a member of Black Oak Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Irene Jamerson, on June 2, 1989.
Survivors include one son, Bennie, Jamerson of Fayetteville; one daughter, Kathy Blackwell of Springdale; three sisters, Mary Stout of Fayetteville, Geneva Doss of Winslow and Opal Parrish of Greenland; four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Center Street Church of Christ under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville. Randall Caselman will officiate.
Burial will he in Black Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
