Floyd Evans, 80, of Solgohachia passed away on March 21, 2006, from his battle with cancer. He was born on Feb. 23,
1926, in Conway County to Floyd A Evans and Julia Deaton Evans. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Louise Elkins Evans. He is survived by his son Ronald Evans and wife Joan of Lanty; his daughter Sharon Mullins and son-in-law Dwight of Solgohachia, and his son Kevin Evans, also of Solgohachia; five grandchildren, Laura Bennet and husband Ronnie of Hattieville, Larry Foster of Solgohachia, Rhonda Henderson and husband Robert "Dullie" of Texas, Rebecca Foster of Bentonville, and Lisa Tutt and husband Jeremy of Lanty; and five great-grandchildren. Floyd was a deacon in the Baptist church for 45 years and a member of Lone Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He lived his Christian life every day and raised his family to love the Lord and follow His Commandments. Floyd was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 722 in Solgohachia where he earned the distinction of 32nd degree. Floyd believed a smile was worth a million dollars and a man's word was everything. He had many friends and will be sadly missed. The funeral will be March 24 at 2 at Bob Neal and Sons in Morrilton. Visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 23. He will be laid to rest next to his loving wife in Kilgore Cemetery. Services and arrangements by Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home of Morrilton.
