Orville "Leon" Stout, 96, of Conway, Arkansas, entered into rest Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in the care of Conway Regional Health System and Arkansas Hospice. Mr. Stout was born September 5, 1915, in Madison County, Arkansas, a son of the late Joel Wesley and Nettie M. (Cobb) Stout. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Syble Dale Stout; a son, Donald Stout; and his sister, Loretta Orlene Scrivner.
Leon was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Conway. He was a member of the Conway Quilters Guild; and for many years volunteered with the Hospital Auxiliary of Conway Regional.
Survivors are his sons, Joel Stout and wife Nancy of Conway; Kenneth Stout and wife Bobbye of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Stout of Conway; Stacy Roland of Fair Play, South Carolina; Courtney Stoltz of Charlottesville, Virginia; Jeremy Stout of Mobile, Alabama; Derek Stout of McKinney, Texas; Matthew Stout of Wichita, Kansas; eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation for Leon will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, May 4, 2012, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 10:00am, Saturday in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Conway, with Bro. Randy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore Cemetery (Conway County), under the direction of Griffin Leggett Conway.
