TRENTHAM, Frank - Frank Trentham, father of Mrs. Fred Cunnyngham of this city, died at his home in Springfield, Mo. Wednesday night this week. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been arranged but the body will be brought here for burial. Mr. Trentham formerly lived west of Bentonville. Mr. Trentham suffered a paralytic stroke a short time ago and this with heart trouble caused his death. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cunnyngham and younger daughter, Dixie, and Mrs. Thee Johnson went to Springfield last night. It was just a short time ago that Mr. Trentham bought a place here and had been waiting for his health to improve so that he could move here with Mrs. Trentham. Mrs. Cunnyngham is their only child.

The funeral services of Frank Trentham, who died at Springfield and was a former resident of Bentonville, were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Cunnyngham, at Bentonville Sunday, Oct. 14th at 3 o'clock p.m. by Rev. W.T. Thompson, pastor of the M.E. Church, So. Services were held by Rev. H.A. Wood at the family residence at Springfield for the benefit of relatives and friends there. Mr. Trentham was born near Springfield April 28, 1867; was married to Miss Annie Presley of Bentonville Dec. 6, 1889. Two children were born to them, a son and a daughter, the son dying in infancy and the surviving daughter now Mrs. Fred Cunnyngham of this city. There survives him also his wife, two grandchildren, Anna Louise and Dixie May Cunnyngham, two brothers; J.A., Alamosa, Colo. and Arthur of Denver, Calif.(?); two sisters, Mrs. John Abbott of Harold, Mo. and Mrs. T.L. Mooney of Walnut Grove. Mr. Trentham lived a number of years after his marriage at Bentonville and had intended to spend the remainder of his life here. He was stricken with paralysis about four months ago from which he never recovered and on Oct. 3rd he suffered a heart attack from which he died. Mr. Trentham was known as a man of strict integrity, a devoted husband and father. He was 61 years, five days of age at his death. Burial was at the Bentonville cemetery.

Mrs. Annie Presley Trentham was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louisa Presley; was born near Bentonville, Ark., on April 30, 1870, and departed this life at 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 1936, at her home on East Central; aged 65 years, 10 months and 11 days.

She was married to Frank Trentham of Springfield, Mo., on Dec. 6, 1890. To this union was born two children, one daughter, Mrs. Fred Cunnyngham of this city, and one son, the son dying in infancy.

She was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of the New Home church when only a young girl and has lived a devoted Christian life since that time. Owing to the love that little church where she first gave her life to Jesus, she never removed her membership from that sacred spot she loved so well.

She had been ill for several months but bore her suffering way gentle and patiently, awaiting the summons of her Heavenly Father, who doeth all things well.

Services were held at the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, by her pastor, Rev. J.Abner Sage. Music was rendered by a quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Brock, Mrs. Arch Wright, and Buell Spencer. Mrs. Florence Gladden was pipe-organ accompanist. Pallbearers were L.T. Croom, W.H. Haxton, Chas. Foster, L.E. Harrison, Fred Douglas, and Jess Seamster. Interment was in the family lot at the Bentonville cemetery. Funeral are arrangements were in charge of Callison and McKinney Funeral Home of Bentonville.

She leaves to mourn her going one daughter, Mrs. Fred Cunnyngham, and two granddaughters, Mrs. Anna Louise McClure and Dixie Cunnyngham. Two sisters, Mrs. S. P Sing of Southwest City, Mo., and Mrs. J.W. Null of Ponca City, Okla. Three brothers, J.C.C.B., and F.M. Presley, all of Bentonville, and one great-grandson, little Jimmie Lee McClure; also several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

MRS. TRENTHAM’S FUNERAL IS TO BE HELD TOMORROW

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, for Mrs. Anna Presley Trentham, aged 65, widow of the late Frank Trentham, who died at her home here on East Central Street at 1:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon following a long illness. The services will be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. J.Abner Sage. Burial will be in the Bentonville cemetery beside her husband, who died at their former home at Springfield, Mo., eight years ago. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Callison-McKinney Funeral Services of Bentonville.

Mrs. Trentham was born at the Presley family homestead two miles west of Bentonville. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Presley, pioneer Northwest Arkansas citizen and Confederate soldier. Mrs. Trentham was a member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Cunnyngham of Bentonville, and two granddaughters, Mrs. Anna Louise McClure and Miss Dixie Cunnyngham. She also is survived by two brothers, Joe and Charles Presley of Bentonville, and two sisters, Mrs. Sam Slug of Southwest City, Mo. And Mrs. J.W. Null, Ponca City, Okla

FUNERAL RITES HELD FRIDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Presley Trentham, aged 65, widow of the late Frank Trentham, who died at her home here Wednesday afternoon, March 11th, 1936, were held Friday afternoon at the Bentonville Methodist Episcopal Church, South, conducted by the pastor, the Rev J.Abner Sage. Music was by a quartet composed of Mrs. Arch Wright. Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Brock, and Buell B. Spencer, with Mrs. Wright as soloist, and Mrs. Florence Gladden as organ accompanist.

The pallbearers were Fred Douglas, Jess Seamster, L.T. Croom, Walter T. Harrison, Chas. W. Foster, and John B. Applegate, and burial was in the Bentonville Cemetery beside her husband who died here eight years ago. The Callison-McKinney Funeral Service of Bentonville was in charge of organ accompanist.

Survivors include her daughter Mrs. Fred Cunnyngham of Bentonville, two granddaughters, Mrs. Anna Louise McClure and Miss Dixie Cunnyngham, and two brothers and two sister, Joe and Charles Presley of Bentonville, Mrs. Sam Sing of Southwest City, Mo., and Mrs. J.W. Null of Ponca City, Okla.
