Mava R Guthrie, of Elizabeth, daughter of the late Milton Norton and Ada Thompson Norton, was born Aug. 31, 1918 in Green Forest, AR. She died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Pine Lane Health Care in Mountain Home at the age of 92 years 2 months and 19 days.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Guthrie on April 24, 1939 at Elizabeth. To this union 2 children were born. She was a homemaker and a member of Center Point Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Travis of Alexander; daughter-in-law, Linda Guthrie of Elizabeth; brother, Tommy Joe Dixon of Anderson, MO; grandchildren: Shawn and Tanya Travis and Daren and Scott Guthrie; great grandchildren: Justin Travis and Trent and Avery Guthrie; 2 nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Wendell Guthrie, a brother, Theo Norton and her father and mother

Services are Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at 11 am at Cox-Blevins Chapel with burial to follow in Elizabeth Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem. Pallbearers are Billy Webb, Harold Cox, Neal Campbell, Jarrett Lawing, Scott Walker and Ronnie Walker
