December 12, 1928 - November 6, 2009
Iford Lee “Ike” Herrington, 80, of Mountain View, AR, entered into rest on Friday November 6, 2009, at his home. Ike was born in Rio Honda, Texas on December 12, 1928 to Ambers Rueben and Helen Annie Merrell Herrington. He served as a law enforcement officer for over thirty years and was a member of Highway Five Church of Christ in Mountain View. He was a loving husband, father, grand-father and uncle.

Ike is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Young Herrington, of the home; son Hugh Lee Herrington of Hardy, AR: daughter, Norma Ruth Ann Collins, of Mtn. View; daughter-in-law, Marla Herrington of Hardy, AR; sisters, Minnie Marie King, of Mtn. View and Helen Louise Clearwater, of Lake Worth, FL; eight grand-children; seventeen great grand-children; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambers and Helen Herrington; brother, Henry Elton Herrington; and three sisters, Ruby Mae Pettit, Jerry Toarmina and Fannye Elouise McNeil.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 pm on Sunday November 8, 2009 at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mtn. View.

Funeral service will be Monday November 9, 2009 at 2 pm at Highway Five Church of Christ with Ed Yates and Loyd Barry officiating. Pallbearers are Justin Oberbeck, Joe Paul Oberbeck, Dakota Herrington, Kevin Heckel, Taylor Tidwell and Mike Herrington.
Honorary pallbearers are Melvin Moore, Steven Oberbeck, Bobby Halpain, Julius Stewart, Curtis Scribner, Skipp Sapp and Robert Ray.

Burial in Mtn. View Cemetery, Mtn. View, Arkansas.

Roller Coffman Funeral Mtn. View, AR is in charge of arrangements.
