Ginger’ Jamelia Lancaster, 71, Mountain View entered into rest on October 18, 2007 at her residence.
Ginger was born December 12, 1935 in Los Angeles, California to Sid and Ouidette Gridlan. She worked as a secretary/receptionist. She was a loving homemaker and wife. Ginger loved the local music, the culture, her family, friends and the family atmosphere of Mountain View.
She is survived by her husband, Fredrick Lancaster; brother, Sid Gregory Gridlan of La Mirada, Calif.; sisters, Charlotte Kelterborn of Lake Elsinore, Calif. and Vera Stewart of Mtn. View; sister-in-law, Ella Jean Volkel of Mtn. View and cherished by all fourteen nieces, nephews and all surviving family and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sid and Ouidette Gridlan and a niece, Karrie Lynn Case.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations/memorials to: Meals on Wheels, 210 School Avenue, Mountain View, AR 72560.
Visitation is 3 – 7 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View (870)269-3462.
Funeral service is 2 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2007 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View with Bro. David Campbell officiating and interment in Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Gil Stewart, Huey Peters, Mark Seay, Don Jones, Ron Haynes and Don Mellon. Honorary pallbearers are Vernon Lawrence, Reese Tubbs, John Kellar, Harold Lancaster and Ronnie Risner.
