Alva Gerldine Wilson, 81, of Mtn. View entered into rest on February 11, 2009 in Mtn. View.

Mrs. Wilson was born July 18, 1927 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Artie and Annie (Tankersley) Moody. She was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a machine operator at the Randall Company in Blytheville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Wilson of Mtn. View; brother, Hershel Moody of Michigan; sisters, Viola Starnes of Mtn. View and Sue Knight of Blytheville; granddaughter, Teresa McDonald of Blytheville and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Green and Debbie Green both of Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Wilson; her parents, Artie and Annie Moody; son, David Coleman; brothers, Garland, Earnest, Robert ‘Slim’ and Carlos ‘Bill’ Moody and a sister, Agnes Harris.

Visitation is 12 noon – 2 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View with interment in Red Doors Cemetery, Mtn. View.

Pallbearers are Carlos Wallace, Brandon Wallace, Tim Wallace, Roy Cox, Keith Wadkins and David McDonald.
