ROGERS — Richard Terry Barbour, 80, of Rogers died Aug. 10, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in
Rogers. He was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Morgantown, Penn., to James Barbour and Eleanor Gibbs Barbour.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He moved to Rogers in 1985 from Yorba Linda, Calif. He was an aerospace engineer and was a part of the design of several space rockets including the space shuttle.

He was a member of Experimental Aircraft Association and was building his own aircraft.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother Raymond Barbour and another brother Bob Barbour.

He is survived by a son, Troy Barbour and daughter-in-law Candi of Chino Hills, Calif., and a sister Ruth Dumont of Point Marion, Penn.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers.
