JERNIGAN, Mrs. C.L. — The sad news of the death of Mrs. Jernigan, wife of Mr. C.L. Jernigan, was announced on our streets yesterday morning Mrs. Jernigan was over 75 years old and was loved by all who knew her. She was a devout christian lady and her constant aim was to do good. The funeral services took place at the family residence at 9 o'clock this morning, being conducted by Revs. B. ?. Greathouse and B.G. Manard, after which she was buried in Evergreen Cemetery. To her aged husband and children the Democrat extends sincere condolence.

A card of Thanks) To the friends and to the ladies who waited at the bedside of my wife during her last sickness I desire for myself and in behalf of my children to express my sincere thanks. Be assured that your expressions of sympathy and the many kindly offices rendered, will ever be held in grateful remembrance by us.
